The SHARPAL 191H Pocket Kitchen Chef Knife & Scissors Sharpener is a multi-function suction cup sharpener that features tungsten carbide blades for quick edge setting and ceramic blades for fine honing. It also has a specially designed tungsten carbide blade to sharpen scissors quickly and easily. The product has a preset optimal sharpening angle and a high-quality rubber base that provides powerful suction, allowing for safer one-handed use.
The sharpener's multifunction design includes three slots: the No. 1 V-Notch slot (Coarse CARBIDE) for quickly sharpening and repairing dull or damaged knife blades, the No. 2 V-Notch slot (Fine CERAMIC) for finely honing, polishing, and removing burrs on already sharp knives, and the exclusive tungsten carbide design for quickly and easily sharpening scissors.
The sharpener's premium abrasive material has been tested 10,000 times, and no breaks have been found in the sharpening abrasive material. It is compact, measuring just 2.75 inches in diameter and 2.32 inches in height, making it easy to store anywhere.
The sharpener can be used on various household and kitchen straight-edge knives, such as chef knives, paring knives, peeling knives, utility knives, slicing knives, and Santoku knives. It can also be used on outdoor and sporting straight-edge knives, including pocket knives, hunting knives, fillet knives, tactical knives, and fixed-blade knives. Additionally, it can sharpen serrated knives (using the No. 2 CERAMIC slot) and scissors (except for sewing scissors).
To use the sharpener, simply press the black switch on the back to firmly attach it to a table or other flat surface. Then, insert the blade fully and vertically into the appropriate sharpening slot at a 90-degree angle and gently pull the knife blade from heel to tip in the direction of the indicator arrows. For scissors, place the sharpener near the edge of the table, press the switch, and draw the scissors from hinge to tip in the direction of the indicator arrows, ensuring the beveled side of the blade is fully leaned against the carbide blade.
